Zoom in on the sample of artworks below to see the creativity and talent of our children. Our art teacher Nicole Duxfield put together an amazing display for the Kaiapoi Borough School Art Expo. Completing an artwork to a high standard requires many skills and attitudes which artists can then transfer across to other learning areas. For example: attention to detail, reaching beyond what they consider to be their limitations, engaging and persisting over time and building confidence in using the creative process. The creative process is based around the “building up” of ideas and requires a huge amount of problem solving. To successfully complete an artwork is extremely demanding of the learner. Every student had an artwork displayed-congratulations! This is just a small selection example.
